RE: Looking for feedback on a Forest River V-Lite
I pulled a 2012 Forest River V-Cross Vibe 826VFK for 10 years with a Ram 1500 Hemi Quad Cab. We were a skosh over weight on the Ram rear axle. We used the Equalizer 4 point hitch. Since the V-nose covers much of the tongue you cannot use a hitch with pull up chains. It was a handy trailer to tow but is tongue heavy but you won't have a problem with 3/4 ton or 350. The problem I had with my Vibe was broken springs as at 7,800 lbs gross weight and the springs for 3,500 lb twin axles were marginal. We replaced the PR-4B 1,750 lbs springs with PR-4 2,400 lbs springs which restored a 3" arch in the springs where before they were nearly flat. My 26' trailer was lighter than your 30' at ~8800 lbs so maybe they put beefier springs on it. Look under the trailer and be sure you have about a 3" arch in the springs empty. It is not all that costly to upgrade to better springs.
We never had a problem with the double motor Schwintek slide. Dunno what the Flagstaff uses.

RE: Light gas leak
Was the oven pilot light lit to burn that gas or was it just venting to the air in the oven? We have noticed gas smells are stronger when the LP tank is approaching empty.

RE: 2020 KZ sportsmen se TK tire blowout (advice needed)
I, too, shredded a tire which tore up the inside of the "wheel well". I replaced the material with Coroplast, the black corrugated plastic board that lasted for years without deterioration. It handled road spray and rocks from the tire flawlessly. I screwed it into the bottom of the flooring and sealed the edges to make it waterproof.

RE: Radius shower
Mine was that way too. There was an access panel at the front that I opened and shimmed some 2x4, 2x2, or whatever to take the flex out of the flimsy shower pan. That was a decade ago and I don't remember the actual items I used but the flimsy pan never cracked or leaked. That access also allowed me to tighten the shower drain PVC couplings that were not tight.

RE: Surge protector
So far all the responses are from folks who recommend using such. In 30 years of RVing around the country I never needed one. Ran into a few pedestals that were worn or had no ground but never a major issue that put my trailer or contents at risk. A surge protector will not survive a direct lightning strike as it just isn't stout enough to handle all the Joules in a lightning bolt. Check with an independent electrician for perhaps a different opinion from those who sell power protection. Do you have such for your whole house? Have you needed it?
